PIK-15 Hinu Eräs PIK-sarjan sympaattisimpia moottorikoneita. Ensimmäinen prototyyppi rakennettiin vuonna 1964, suunnitelijoina Kai Mellen, Ilkka Lounamaa and Jussi Rinta. Suunniteltu vain yhtä tarkoitusta varten, purjekoneiden hinaus. Erittäin suosittu hinauskone, näitä rakennettiin kerhoissa eri puolilla Suomea ja vielä tänä päivänä näitä on Suomalaisessa ilma-alusrekisterissä on näitä koneita 6 kappaletta. Tarinan mukaan yksi PIK-15-projekti on käynnistynyt myös Uudessa Seelannissa. Siitä, että valmistuiko se koskaan ei ole tietoa. Jos tiedät tästä enemmän lähetäthän siitä tiedon minulle. Tässä oleva malli on kärkiväliltään 1,5m ja se
on mittakaavassa 1:6.6. Rakenne on erittäin perinteinen
rima-kaari-siipi ja ns. kölirakenteinen runko. Malli on
suunniteltu ensi-sijaisesti sähkömoottorille, joskin
polttomoottorikäyttöiseksi muuttaminen on mahdollista. Malli on ns. Semi-scale-malli, koska runko on pinnaltaan rima-rakenteinen, eli alkuperäinen vanerikuori ei toistu täydelllisesti. Käytännössä kuitenkin kaikki muodot, siivet, ohjainpinnat jne. on pyritty tekemään mahdollisimman alkuperäisen mukaiseksi. Ohjainpinnat ovat alkuperäisen kokoiset. Malliin on jätetty mahdollisuus toteuttaa alkuperäisen kokoiset laskeutumislaipat. Huomioithan sen, että PIK-15 Hinuja on tehty
kerhoissa käsityönä. Tämä malli perustuu mahdollisimman tarkkaan
OH-YHB:n, ns. Nummelan Hinuun. Eroja muihin löytyy kuomussa,
siivenkärjissä, moottorisuojassa jne. Katso myös valokuvagallerioita. |

PIK-15 Hinu One of most cutest motorplanes in PIK-range. Prototype was built 1964. Designers were Kai Mellen, Ilkka Lounamaa and Jussi Rinta. Plane was designed for only one purpose, to tow gliders to air. Plane was extremely popular with several of them built in clubs around Finland. Even today there are 6 such planes in local FAA air registry. According folklore there was even one PIK-15 project started in New Zealand. Which is quite far from Finland. I do not know whether it ever got finished. If you have more information of this project pls. send it to me. Model has wingspan of 1,5m and it is designed to be in 1:6.6 scale. Structures are quite basic. Wing has rib-structure and fuselage keel-structured. Model is designed primarily to electric motor, however conversion for I.C. motor should pose no challenges. This model is semi-scale, because
fuselage has stick-formed surface. Original plane had plywood
covering. In practice all forms, wing, control surfaces etc. are
designed exactly to original specification. Control surfaces
have original size. Model has an option of implementing original
